Lexington Rescue Mission 2015 Banquet and Silent Auction

September 16th, 2015 / Posted by / Category: Station Blog

Some of the best parts of my job are working with great organizations like Lexington Rescue Mission, and meeting the people who support them and benefit from their work.

This year’s banquet featured some truly inspiring stories. It’s easy to get caught up in the bad news that seems to surround us on a daily basis. Events and speakers like these are great reminders that good is still alive and well in this world. God is changing lives, healing relationships, and rebuilding people every day right here in Central Kentucky. An evening hearing about that is good for the soul.

We met some very cool people like “Porkchop” and “Crazy Lola,” and got to see some old friends we see far too infrequently.

If you didn’t attend this year, you really missed out. We’re already looking forward to next year!
